Engineering For Change features LEGS Project

Thu, Mar 18 2010

LeTourneau University's LEGS project  that provides low-cost, durable prosthetics to above-knee amputees in developing countries was featured in a recent story in Engineering For Change.

After an interview with LETU biomedical engineering professor and LEGS program founder Dr. Roger Gonzalez, the story's author, Rob Goodier, wrote: "The LEGS M1 knee is a rugged prosthesis that's been tested in developing countries for the past five years. It's designed for local manufacture and maintenance. And it's amazingly cheap, just  $15 to $20 each."
