Women’s golf takes fourth
BULLARD, Texas – The LeTourneau University women’s golf team took fourth during
Tuesday’s final round at the Tyler Junior College Spring Invitational at Eagle’s Bluff Country
Club.
LeTourneau was fourth after Monday’s first round with a 392.
Host Tyler Junior College was first with a 345, while Northwood was second with a 347.
Texarkana was third with a 364. Seminole rounded out the field after shooting a 425.
Leslie Lee was second after firing an 83. Candice Nishimura shot a 99 and Elizabeth Zapata and
Katy Adkins fired 102 and 108, respectively. Melissa Freeman shot a 116.
The YellowJackets returned to the course Tuesday and shot 371 for a two-day total of
763.
Tyler Junior College won the event with a 685. Northwood was second (702), followed by
Texarkana (742). Seminole took fifth with an 840.
Lee shot a second-round 83 to take second with a 166. Nishimura fired a 96 for a 195. Zapata
