Men's tennis rebounds with victory
LONGVIEW
– A day after their 10-match winning streak ended at the hands of No. 5 UT-Tyler,
the LeTourneau men’s tennis team got right back to business as usual Thursday at the Davis Tennis
Complex against the University of the Ozarks.
Tenth-ranked LeTourneau took no prisoners in a 9-0 thrashing.
A revamped doubles lineup took all three matches, losing two games total. Mikey Parker
(Bullard, Texas) and Uli de la Fuente (El Paso, Texas) set the tone, as they paired on court three
for an 8-0 win, losing a single point the entire match. In singles, the Jackets continued
their dominance. They won all six matches, giving up just 10 games. Carlos Cantu
(Brownsville, Texas), ASC Conference Player of the Week, jumped out quickly winning on court two,
6-1, 6-1 over Tom Lowe. The win moved the Jackets to 11-1, 2-1 on the season.
