LeTourneau University is consistently ranked in the

  • Our 2009 fall enrollment represents our second highest record undergraduate enrollment.
  • Almost 3,400 students attend LETU, including over 3,000 undergraduates and nearly 300 graduate students. Around 1,550 of these students go to class at our Longview campus.

  • Our enrollment has grown by 67 percent over the last decade; our average entering SAT scores are between 130 to 150 points higher than the national average.

  • The 2009 freshman class welcomed four National Merit Finalists, bringing the total number of finalists to more than 26 at LETU.

  • We offer undergraduate and graduate degrees for working adults at locations in Bedford, Dallas, Houston and Tyler, Texas, as a complement to our main campus in Longview, as well as online.

  • We've added hot career options including air traffic control, civil engineering and health sciences - nursing . That's in addition to the 30 new majors we've welcomed over the last decade.

  • We're into global – Our students represent all 50 states and more than 20 countries.

  • Our largest undergraduate majors are engineering, aeronautical science, teacher education and computer science.

  • By the way, LeTourneau is the first university in Texas certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to offer an air traffic control program.

LETU’s Aeronautical Science program was named the best all-around college aviation program in the nation when its flight team was awarded the Loening Trophy, the rarest of all collegiate aviation honors, at the 2009 SAFECON competition hosted by Park College in St. Louis, Mo.   • Our grads get jobs. Our three-year average placement rate for all LETU graduates is 91 percent, with even higher rates for aeronautical science, engineering, business and education students.
  • For the past five years, LETU has produced more classroom teachers than any other private university in the state of Texas (Source: State Board for Educator
    Certification/TEA). Our students have a 99 percent pass rate on the Texas state-mandated exam for teacher certification.

LETU students and faculty involved in the LeTourneau Empowering Global Solutions (LEGS) program dig up real-world research and impact lives across continents through prosthetic technology, small plot irrigation, visual literacy and food preservation projects.

  • LeTourneau University mechanical engineering students won third place overall in an international 2008 Baja SAE Illinois competition with their number 15 Baja car, “Ingenuity.” The students competed against teams from more than 100 universities around the world.

  • Our students can study abroad all over the world through the CCCU’s BestSemester program.
  • Capital projects at our Longview campus over the past eight years have totaled over half a billion dollars, with a new facility added to the Longview campus virtually every year.
  • LeTourneau University opened the 2,000-seat S.E. Belcher, Jr. Chapel and Performance Center in 2007. This is a state-of-the-art facility for student worship,
    entertainment and cultural events, as well as a venue for outreach into the community.

LETU's dining hall, The Corner Café, opened in 2009 and not only offers delicious meals, but also the coolest atmosphere around. The seriously good food you'll find on campus is provided by Bon Appétit , our food service provider, whose clients include MIT, eBay, Yahoo! and DreamWorks SKG. Bon Appétit is committed to

Coming soon: A three-phase
residential housing complex
that will accommodate 600 to
675 students to meet demands
based on enrollment growth.
The first phrase broke ground in Spring 2010 for a

200-bed residence hall scheduled for completion in time for Fall 2011 occupancy. The facility will be eligible for  LEED (Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design) certification and built with energy efficiency and sustainability in mind.  Discover other ways LETU is going green.
