Secure your future - Set yourself apart from the rest.
Learn more about what it takes to earn two degrees and jump-start an in-demand career in the healthcare industry. Our joint degree plans require four years and summer coursework in a combination of online and on-ground courses:

Three academic years at LETU

Students will work toward one of two health sciences degrees:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences (HSBA), consisting of 124 credit hours. The HSBA degree plan offers a focus on foreign language and a minor in biology.

  • Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (HSBS), consisting of 126 credit hours. The HSBS degree plan allows students to incorporate additional interests into their health sciences degree by choosing a variety of concentrations, including Christian ministries, psychology and business administration.

Over 75 percent of these courses will be taught solely by LETU. Our curriculum, infused with our Christ-centered vision and principles, includes solid Biblical studies, natural sciences, social sciences and humanities, plus four semesters of foreign language studies. Not to mention, LETU has a proven tradition of academic quality when it comes to preparing students for careers in the science and health industries. That's why, at LETU, students engage with healthcare professionals their freshman year.

Students, who meet the required prerequisites, will then secure a place in UT Tyler’s prestigious nursing program to complete clinical nursing courses.  Refer to UT-Tyler College of Nursing for a complete list of required admission standards.

Followed by four semesters at UT Tyler

Students will complete course requirements and receive clinical instruction through UT Tyler’s renowned College of Nursing and Health Sciences to earn a BSN and graduate prepared to take the RN Licensure examination. Thirty seats are available to LETU students each year.

  • LETU and UT Tyler team up with local, award-winning hospitals so our students complete required clinical hospital rotations in real-life medical environments, where learning opportunities are abundant and quality care counts. At the same time, they learn from the experienced nurses they’ll work alongside. Students will have the opportunity to participate in global medical mission trips and service projects that impact the world.
