From its first days as a university, LeTourneau has trained Christian leaders for missions, churches, and other Christian ministry opportunities. We continue that tradition by offering a solid foundation of Bible and theology classes, spiritual leadership, and a strong liberal arts education that will give you a bachelor's degree from an accredited university. If you want to dig deep into God’s Word and to learn how to interpret and apply it, this major will take you there. When you graduate, you’ll be ready to enter seminary, work in ministry jobs, or follow God’s leading into missions.

B.A. Christian Ministry

If you have a heart to serve, we’re ready to prepare you for Christian ministry, whether it is in local churches, in para-church organizations, or on the mission field. In the Christian Ministry degree program, you will become a competent student and teacher of the Bible, and you will learn models for ministry that are effective in today’s postmodern world. However, Christian Ministry is not just about the classroom. You will get the opportunity to put your knowledge into action through the Christian Service Assignment and the Christian Ministry Internship. When you graduate, you will be able to enter ministry with a practical knowledge that will serve others well.

B.A. Christian Ministry, Youth Ministry Concentration

Are you passionate about reaching and discipling young people? If so, then consider this concentration. Not only will you receive a fantastic biblical and theological education, you also will gain the skills and knowledge to apply it to today’s context by learning how to build a purposeful youth ministry centered in relationships.

B.A. Christian Ministry, Cross-Cultural Concentration

Are you intrigued with the different peoples that populate the earth? Do you want to do something about reaching them with the gospel of Jesus Christ? The Cross-Cultural Concentration builds on the same biblical and theological basis of the Christian Ministry major, and offers you the opportunity to explore Christian mission in our Cross-Cultural classes. Study other cultures in Cultural Anthropology, learn how to live in another country in Cross-Cultural Adaptation, discover the life of a missionary in Contemporary World Missions, and ponder the challenges of other religions in World Religions.

B.A. Christian Ministry, Ministry Leadership

Do you desire to acquire the skills and knowledge that will make your ministry leadership effective? In cooperation with the School of Business, the Ministry Leadership concentration provides a basis of business classes that, combined with the Christian Ministry program, makes an excellent preparation for leadership and administration in a variety of ministries.

Minors

Biblical Languages Minor

A combination of Biblical Greek and Hebrew courses allow the student to study the Scripture in its original languages. Many seminaries allow our students who have successfully completed these language courses to by-pass some language requirements. These courses often meet the Biblical languages requirements of certain ministry organizations.

Biblical Studies Minor

If you attend LeTourneau, you’ll already take 12-credit credit hours of Bible classes. Adding a minor to your non-Bible major is as easy as taking three more classes! Just take one more upper-level Bible elective and two Christian doctrine courses and you will have earned a minor in Biblical Studies.

Cross Cultural Studies Minor

This minor will teach you about different cultures, religions, and how to best serve in a cross-cultural environment. Many students majoring in aeronautical science with the intent of being missionary pilots have taken a cross cultural studies minor.
